The Plant Robert, or Plant Robez, is an autochthonous grape variety of Lavaux. Its name comes from the verb "to steal": the "stolen plant" suggests a whole story! This variety does particularly well on light and dry soils. Due to its very small cultivation area, it is an authentic specialty that the most discerning gourmets will appreciate.

The wine:

This Plan Robert reveals an intense red color with purple accents.

The nose is complex, with typical spicy and fruity notes of black pepper, coriander, cherry and blueberry, followed by more discreet notes of rosemary, violet, cocoa and peat.

The mouth reveals an architecture endowed with robust tannins accompanied by an acidity well balanced by a measured roundness. The palate ends with fruity and smoky aromas of cherry and birch tar.
